ABOUT CAROLE

A proud Yorkshire woman, I was born in Harrogate and now live on the edge of Baildon Moor with my husband Mike. Since our children have flown the nest I now have the opportunity to spend more time on my passion for creating art that people will appreciate.

We are so lucky to live in Yorkshire – a county which inspires my artwork with its dramatic landscapes and rich flora and fauna. I have always enjoyed painting and use pen, wash and acrylics.  

My work stems from observation in the landscape from photographs and sketches. I enjoy the use of rich vibrant colours in my pictures portraying, in particular, a modern interpretation of the flowers and plants found in my garden and the Yorkshire countryside.

I feel my work has evolved over the last couple of years and I have been working on a series of paintings of flowers throughout the seasons.  I strive to create something beautiful for people to view and enjoy.
